This is a relatively early piece of mine, and an early experiment with one of my main sources of inspiration and creative drive: my psychotic depression. A relatively broad diagnosis, my experience included particularly intense audio-visual hallucinations, which are the source for most of the painted lettering on this piece. I later added denim patching to make better use of negative space. This is one of my favorite pieces I have made, both due to the versatility and quality of the flannel and the emotional connection I have to the material present on it as well. Fabric Paint, denim patchwork on cotton flannel.
