Sweet Tooth is a recurring and important motif within my work. It began as the title for a poem I wrote hastily the night before I was booked to read at an event, unexpectedly becoming my favorite work of writing to date. It has held many different meanings depending on context and usage, from a metaphor for insatiable appetites to an apt description of a visual hallucination. In this context, I tried to evoke a harsh sense of uniformity in my design, reminiscent of my mental experience. Acrylic, fabric paint, waterproofing spray on denim patch.
