Wicked Pittsburgh was Thrival Music Festival's arts partner from 2017 to 2019 - providing live painters, murals, interactive art installations, community canvases, performers, stage curation, and a full lineup of local Pittsburgh musicians.
In 2017, the festival was held at Carrie Furnaces, and Wicked was invited to be a vendor and provide live painters.
In 2018, Wicked was asked to return as an official partner to help manage live art and deco. A team of eight designed and assembled installations that were featured throughout the stadium, while six muralists painted live for festival goers.
In 2019, Wicked returned to the same role, but with a much larger budget & more creative freedoms. Thrival commissioned the team to assemble the Wicked Pittsburgh Art Garden, complete with 10 interactive installations, a second stage, and curated a fully local Pittsburgh lineup.
Unfortunately, Thrival never returned after COVID started in early 2020. We'll always love u.
